Iris Nevarez
Medical Assistant
Iris is a Certified Medical Assistant with a strong background in surgical and specialty care. She brings a compassionate, patient-centered approach to medicine, shaped by years of experience in General Surgery, Wound Care, Pulmonology, and Sleep Medicine. Beginning her healthcare journey as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Iris has cared for patients across a wide range of settings, including long-term care and memory care units, where she learned the importance of empathy, dignity, and personalized attention.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Iris has spent much of her life supporting her own family in medical settings as a translator and advocate—an experience that now informs her commitment to treating every patient as if they were her own loved one. She values respect, communication, and cultural sensitivity, and strives to create a welcoming environment for every patient she serves.
Iris is a proud graduate of a dual-enrollment high school program that allowed her to take college courses early and accelerate her career path in healthcare. She has since completed her training as a Certified Medical Assistant and continues to grow within the field, combining clinical skill with heartfelt care.
In her free time, Iris enjoys gaming, playing soccer, dancing, and swimming. She also loves walking her two dogs—her loyal 14-year-old pitbull mix, who rides in a stroller, and her energetic 2-year-old American Bully—while spending quality time with family and friends.
